Allen Lee, Ph.D
Allen Lee, Ph.D. is a principal in the Energy Services Group. He has more than 25 years’ experience in energy and environmental research. His management and technical expertise focuses on demand side management, energy services, green buildings, externalities analysis, and renewables. He has managed more than 40 energy program evaluations. As a member of the Portland, Oregon, Sustainable Development Commission for 6 years, Dr. Allen led the commission’s initiative to develop the city’s green building program. He conducted green building studies for the Alameda County (California) Waste Management Authority and the City of Portland. The latter included a comprehensive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) analysis of three city buildings and an evaluation of an affordable housing project.
Dr. Lee publishes widely on energy issues and has presented papers and made presentations at numerous conferences. Besides being a LEED Accredited Professional, he is a member of the Association of Professional Energy Managers and the Association of Energy Service Professionals.
Allen Lee has a doctorate and a master of science in policy analysis from the RAND Graduate School. He also has a master of science in aerospace engineering from the University of Southern California and a bachelor of science in engineering from Caltech.
