Chi Ho Sham, Ph.D.

Vice President Chi Ho Sham, Ph.D. heads the Drinking Water and Water Quality Group. He is an expert in source water protection, underground injection control, and the use of geographic information systems in environmental protection and natural resource management. And he has extensive experience in hydrology, geomorphology, and water quality.

Dr. Sham belongs to the American Water Works Association (AWWA), heads its Source Water Protection Committee, and is a trustee of AWWA’s Water Resources Division. Dr. Sham chairs the committee planning the 2009 AWWA Water Resources Symposium. He also belongs to the American Geophysical Union, Water Environment Federation, New England Water Works Association, and Ground Water Protection Council. Besides being a research fellow at Clark University’s George Perkins Marsh Institute, he belongs to the advisory board of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s environmental engineering program.

Chi Ho Sham holds graduate degrees in geography from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a bachelor’s in geography from the University of Regina, Canada. He taught at Boston University for 10 years before joining Cadmus as a senior associate in 1992. He left Cadmus in 1998 and rejoined in his current position in 2000.
