Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Management Plan Development

Cadmus develops and reviews environmental impact assessments (EIAs), environmental management plans, and integrated pest management activities and safer pesticide use plans for a range of development activities. For example, we have participated in:

• The EIA, the pesticide evaluation reports and safer use action plans, and the design and implementation of the environmental monitoring and mitigation plan for the PRONORTE (Proyecto de Generación de Ingresos y Empleo para la frontera Norte del Ecuador) program. • The preliminary assessments for USAID Accelerated Growth Programs in Timor-Leste and for USAID/Morocco programs.
• Portfolio reviews for USAID/Bulgaria and Bosnia to strengthen compliance and monitoring.
• The EIAs for:
• The BOLFOR II (Bolivian Sustainable Forest Management Project) program (More information is available at http://www.bolfor.org)
• Road improvements in Tanzania’s National Parks
• Road infrastructure programs in Southern Sudan
• The Uganda Water Hyacinth Management Project (including public consultations)
• The cultural tourism center in Botswana
• A road rehabilitation project in Cambodia

In addition, Cadmus undertakes analyses under sections 118 and 119 of the Foreign Assistance Act, and we perform environmental threats and opportunities assessments (ETOAs).
