Julio Rovi

Julio Rovi is a principal in the Voluntary Programs Group and head of our Green Building practice, which promotes sustainability in buildings for clients such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and its ENERGY STAR® program, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the Southeast Rebuild Collaborative, and the Public Technology Institute (PTI).

With more than 24 years’ experience in energy, engineering, and the social sciences, Mr. Rovi provides engineering design analysis, marketing, outreach, and technical support to pollution prevention programs. He writes and reviews energy management and building systems integration policies and provides green building expertise to key organizational stakeholders. He is a strategic advisor to PTI’s Sustainability Council and a member of the Education Subcommittee of USGBC’s Local Government Committee. Mr. Rovi is bilingual in Spanish and English. He has worked in most of the U.S., all of Central America, and most of the Caribbean.

Julio Rovi holds a bachelor’s in electro-mechanical engineering from the Technological University of Panama, a master’s in energy management and policy from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s in social systems sciences from Penn’s Wharton School. He is a certified indoor air quality professional, a certified energy manager, and a certified sustainable development professional, as well as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
