Cadmus Wins BPA in EPA's Office of Water

(August 8, 2006) -- Cadmus has won a 5-year, $1 million Blanket Purchase Agreement from EPA to provide technical support in developing the Office of Water’s Water Research Needs Assessment and Management Strategy. The client for this work is the Office of Science and Technology, and much of the work will likely take place over the next 18 months.

For this project, we will:

  • Outline programmatic objectives and research questions and detail the necessary scientific and technical investigations and products to answer them.
Benchmark how other entities manage and stay abreast of research.

  • Track project accountability and progress.

  • Document more broadly specific water research areas and ongoing work in surface water, watersheds, source waters, and drinking water in the larger scientific community.

  • Develop more effective mechanisms for communicating research needs and priorities to the research community and communicating the results of that research back to EPA decision-makers.

The Strategy and Needs Assessment will serve as a resource for Office of Water staff members and managers as they work with external research organizations to leverage water research needs.

"This important award is an excellent example of our continued growth in EPA’s Office of Water, where Cadmus has long been the leading contractor," said president Ian Kline. "Everyone involved in this project is very excited about this great opportunity to build a long and productive relationship with OST. Although we’ve supported OST in the past, this represents a new area of work for Cadmus and gives us a chance to re-establish ourselves as a contractor-of-choice for the Office."
