Cadmus Announces Recipients of Q3 Employee-Directed Charitable Donations

Waltham, Mass., December 31, 2013—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today the recipients of the company’s employee-directed charitable giving committee for the firm’s third financial quarter.

“The employee-directed charitable giving committee received a record number of applications from our employees this quarter, demonstrating the significant investments of time, money, and passion our colleagues have made to these organizations over the years,” said President and CEO Ian Kline. “We’re reminded once again, in this season of giving, how valuable it is to have the opportunity to support worthwhile projects and causes that reflect and advance our mission to create social value.”

This quarter’s recipients are:

  • The Akaa Project: This submission by finance manager Charlie D’Ambrosio will support construction of a sustainable latrine, which will aid sanitation for a school in Eastern Ghana.
  • Center for ReSource Conservation (CRC): Senior associate Linda Olsson requested a matching donation to support this Colorado-based conservation group. CRC supports local initiatives with global impact, and has been especially active in flood relief this year.
  • Environmental League of Massachusetts: Senior analyst Danielle Poulin’s submission will support a nonprofit educational and advocacy organization dedicated to strengthening the voice and effectiveness of the environmental community.
  • Hillcrest Transitional Housing: Hillcrest offers homeless families and individuals a disciplined educational program with the primary objective of transitioning clients from homelessness to self-sufficiency within ninety days. Associate Pamela Levetzow has supported this organization for more than thirty years.
  • Home Base: Senior associate Betsy Lipson requested a donation to this veterans’ support organization, which provides care and counseling for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families.
  • Homenetmen Scouts Boston: Cadmus is proud to once again help support the scouts’ quadrennial Jamboree in Armenia, which gives its young members an opportunity to meet Armenians from all over the world, exchange knowledge, and assist the local community.
  • Livewell Northwest Colorado: This donation, requested by active supporter and volunteer Jane Colby, a senior associate, will support programs that promote healthy eating and active living through education and awareness.
  • Space of Her Own, Inc. (SOHO): SOHO pairs disadvantaged preteen girls with professional women for a yearlong structured mentoring program. Cadmus’ donation, requested by SOHO supporter and board member Kathy Humphrey, associate, will help SOHO create a chapter model to expand the organization’s reach with new locations in the DC metro area and nationwide.
  • The Trustees of Reservations: Active member and corporate trustee Brad Jones, a Cadmus principal, requested a donation to support energy-efficiency projects within this Massachusetts organization, one of the oldest conservation groups in the United States.
  • Tufts Wildlife Clinic: This submission by senior analyst Jodi O’Grady supports rehabilitation of injured wildlife, provided free of charge by the Tufts veterinary staff, and training of students in wildlife veterinary medicine.

Applications were strengthened by applicants’ active involvement with the programs and organizations in question, as well as indicated allocation for specific projects, connections to Cadmus’ mission, and, in some cases, a history of support from Cadmus. Every Cadmus employee is welcome to submit a proposal requesting a charitable contribution to a cause or organization.

About Cadmus’ Employee-Directed Charitable Giving
