Cadmus to Continue Support for Safe Drinking Water on Aircraft for FDA

Waltham, Mass., August 11, 2014—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to continue to support the maintenance of a Web-accessible Official Classification List of FDA-approved aircraft watering points and servicing areas. Cadmus developed this tool under a previous contract and will continue to maintain it for accuracy and completeness.

The facilities included in FDA’s inventory are critical control points in the aircraft drinking water supply and transfer chain. The list enables air carriers to identify the 1,650 facilities at over 600 U.S. airports that meet FDA’s requirements for providing safe drinking water to aircraft. This contract complements support Cadmus also provides to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for implementation of the Aircraft Drinking Water Rule.

Cadmus’ environmental science and policy experts are experienced in providing essential research and communications support to government entities to help the aircraft industry ensure consumers have access to safe drinking water. Learn more.
