Cadmus and ISOS Co-Host Webinar and Training Event on the Newly Released GRI Standards for Sustainability Reporting

ISOS Group

WALTHAM, Mass., November 8, 2016—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has partnered with ISOS Group (ISOS) to co-host a live national webinar on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, to share highlights of the new GRI Standards with sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) professionals. GRI (formerly Global Reporting Initiative) is an international independent organization that helps businesses, governments and other organizations understand and communicate the impact of business on critical sustainability issues such as climate change, human rights, corruption and many others. The webinar, led by experts from Cadmus and ISOS Group—both GRI GOLD Community members—will help parties with all levels of GRI reporting experience gain an understanding of the features, benefits, and impacts of the new GRI Standards.

The one-hour webinar is designed for a broad audience, from organizations that currently report sustainability performance to those that are just getting started. The webinar will cover the fundamental differences between the current GRI G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (G4 Guidelines) and the new GRI Standards, which were released by GRI on October 19, 2016, and will replace the current G4 Guidelines on July 1, 2018. GRI encourages early adoption of the new standards throughout 2017, and the webinar will share resources and information to help attendees transition over the coming year.

Additionally, ISOS will conduct a two-day GRI Certified Training course hosted by Cadmus at its Boulder, Colorado, offices on December 8-9, 2016. Training staff will dedicate a half-day to reviewing the G4 Guidelines and a full day to helping reporters transition from the current G4 Guidelines to the new GRI Standards. Participants will learn how to manage the reporting process, assess an organization’s significant impacts, select report topics and performance measures, and follow best practices for developing top-quality sustainability reports. The training also includes a half-day bonus module that will be dedicated to the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board’s new Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting professional certification for sustainability professionals and investment analysts.

“We look forward to the co-hosting the webinar and the training course in Boulder with Cadmus to share the latest about GRI’s new standards with CSR professionals from around the country,” said ISOS co-founder Nancy Mancilla. “We have worked with Cadmus on many levels over the past few years to jointly champion best practices for sustainability reporting and CSR. It will be great to continue this collaboration now and through other jointly hosted events in the coming year.”

“GRI has long been the go-to standard for meaningful, credible, and transparent sustainability reporting,” said Kate Swayne Wilson, director of Cadmus’ greenhouse gas and sustainability reporting practice. “We are excited about the release and adoption of the new GRI Standards and look forward to partnering with our skilled colleagues at ISOS Group to help organizations learn and apply these standards.”
