Cadmus Receives Morrison Child and Family Services’ Goldman Award for Helping Underserved Children

Portland, Ore., May 29, 2014—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it received Morrison Child and Family Services’ first-ever Goldman Award at the organization’s annual Silver Linings Luncheon on May 13, 2014. Cadmus executive consultant M. Sami Khawaja, Ph.D., accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.

“We are extremely proud of our 14-year association with Morrison Child and Family Services, a remarkable organization that has helped thousands of children in its 67-year history,” said Dr. Khawaja. “Morrison provides desperately needed services to children in Oregon—services which are provided by the most dedicated and talented staff. Their commitment to measuring their outcomes and using these measurements to improve their services truly makes Morrison stand out.”

The Goldman Award is given to a community leader or a company who has dedicated time and resources to helping underserved children in the community. The award is given in memory of Muriel and Marvin Goldman for their commitment to improving the lives of children in Oregon. Muriel Goldman was a leading children’s advocate for more than four decades and served on Morrison Child and Family Services’ Board of Directors for two six-year terms, twice as board chair.

Cadmus has been a proud partner of Morrison since 2000. Staff members in the firm’s Portland office are involved in activities with Morrison on a regular basis, including monthly employee donations, volunteering in Morrison’s Hand in Hand Therapeutic Garden, and conducting supply drives throughout the year. In 2013, Cadmus held a company-wide book drive that raised funds for a donation of 530 children’s books to Morrison.

Cadmus has formed partnerships with select organizations across the United States to provide financial, material, and in-kind support for activities that align with its strategic vision to create social value through actions that protect the natural environment and improve people’s lives.
