Cadmus to Support NEEA Market Research and Program Evaluation on Two Newly Awarded Contracts

Waltham, Mass., December 4, 2013—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has been awarded two contracts to complete market research for updating key input assumptions in the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance’s (NEEA’s) Drive Power Motor Rewinds and commissioning/retrocommissioning Alliance Cost Effectiveness (ACE) models. NEEA’s ACE models are tools unique to specific initiatives, which contain market assumptions that allow for the estimation of annual regional savings and track these initiatives’ progress towards market transformation.

For the commissioning/retrocommissioning contract, Cadmus will be conducting market research to update ACE model assumptions for building commissioning and retrocommissioning market size and penetration, demolished square footage, the status of adoption of state or local requirements, and the number of both certified and non-certified providers in each state within NEEA’s service area.

For the Drive Power Motor Rewinds contract, Cadmus will be conducting market size, share, and intelligence research on the number of motor rewinds performed annually in the Northwest and the distribution of rewinds between Green Motors Practices Group members and nonmembers. Cadmus will use the information collected to update the Drive Power Motor Rewinds ACE model, as well as improve regional savings estimates of the program and provide market intelligence to inform future strategies.

Cadmus’ market research helps energy planning entities and regional utilities across the United States assess the technical and economic effectiveness of a broad range of technologies and programs.
