Healthcare, Clean Water, and Electric Vehicle Programs Among Recipients of Cadmus’ Employee-Directed Charitable Giving

WALTHAM, Mass., June 17, 2015-The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) today announced the recipients of the firm’s Employee-Directed Charitable Giving for the fourth quarter of its 2015 fiscal year. Cadmus’ popular employee-directed charitable giving program gives employees the opportunity to be directly involved in deciding how and where the firm provides charitable support.

This quarter’s recipients are:

Africa Schoolhouse: This small nonprofit organization provides schooling, medical care, job training, and clean water to thousands of people in rural villages in Northern Tanzania. This organization’s mission aligns with Cadmus’ own goals to support health, clean water, and sustainable growth.

Animal Kind International (AKI): Analyst Ashley Fox requested this donation after seeing the impact of its programs first-hand in the course of her international development work.

Best Friends Animal Society: Mary Raynard donates her time and money to this no-kill animal rehabilitation center and sanctuary.

Clean Air Partners: Senior associate Kudret Utebay nominated this organization, which strives to improve public health and the environment by working with businesses, organizations, and individuals throughout the Washington, D.C., region to reduce air pollution through voluntary actions.

MIT Electric Vehicle Team: Analyst John Kongoletos contributes significant time to helping this group, which gives students the opportunity to teach others about electric vehicles and provides a hands-on testing ground for new ideas and research. Cadmus’ donation will support the purchase of a heavy-duty spring suspension system.

Oregon Pro Arte Chamber Orchestras (OPACO): Associate Dorianne Reinhardt Paul submitted this request to support the expansion of OPACO, a regional, nonprofit orchestral association for both adult and student musicians. Dorianne, a lifelong musician, is an OPACO participant.

Routt County 4-H: Principal Jane Colby requested funds to sponsor awards for children competing at the Routt County fair in activities such as raising animals and making crafts.

StudentsCare: This donation, requested by analyst Jenna Tipaldi, will support the expansion of StudentsCare’s Hospital Buddy program, which matches college students one-on-one with inpatient children being treated for cancer.

The Kiah Foundation: Nominated by associate Sandie Koenig, this organization is dedicated to supporting childhood cancer research.

Submissions were strengthened by applicants’ active involvement with the programs and organizations in question, as well connections to Cadmus’ mission, and, in some cases, a history of support from Cadmus. Every Cadmus employee is welcome to submit a proposal requesting a charitable contribution to a cause or organization.

In addition to making regular allocations through the charitable giving program, Cadmus supports community partners near each of its major offices and participates in numerous donations and volunteer activities throughout the year.
