Horkitz has worked with the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) since 2003 in various managerial capacities, most recently as Director of Market Execution. Among her many industry contributions, Karen has been an active member of Energy Trust of Oregon’s (ETO’s) Conservation Advisory Committee, the TopTen USA Board of Directors, and the Consortium for Energy Efficiency’s (CEE’s) Portfolio Advisory Committee.

“Cadmus has the rare combination of technical, industry, and consulting expertise that allows it to deliver exceptional support for its clients’ efforts to maximize customer value,” said Horkitz. “I look forward to supporting Cadmus’ clients as they design, assess, and continuously improve the effectiveness of their energy-efficiency and customer-engagement programs at this pivotal time for the energy industry.”

The addition of Horkitz to the Cadmus team comes shortly after Lois Gordon, formerly with Portland Energy Conservation, Inc. (PECI) and a founding executive at Ecos Consulting, joined the firm as vice president for utility solutions.

“Karen’s knowledge of DSM programs and market research and her proven record as a manager and business leader make her an invaluable resource for Cadmus’ clients and an excellent addition to our leadership team,” said Hossein Haeri, Ph.D., senior vice president in charge of the firm’s consulting services to energy utilities. “We are excited about the team we have built and the position we are in to continue our growth and to support our clients with the best people, ideas, and products.”

Cadmus has been recognized as a leader in utility resource planning and demand side management, including energy efficiency, demand response, distributed generation, and renewable energy. The firm serves policy-makers, utilities, and program administrators through a wide range of market research, portfolio development, program design and evaluation, and measurement and verification services.
