We have delivered hundreds of properly functioning buildings to our clients. Our commissioning approach is to work as an effective team member to help deliver the most energy-efficient, comfortable, and trouble-free buildings possible. By establishing ourselves as an extension of each client’s organization, we are able to solve problems before they become major issues and to improve communications and collaboration across an entire project team. Our projects include some of the most sophisticated building systems in the world and more than 80 LEED®-certified projects, with 12 achieving Platinum and 34 Gold.
We identify and help implement “low-hanging fruit” control opportunities though our retro-commissioning (RCx) process. Our method consists of inspecting equipment and pulling trends from your building’s automation system to identify better scheduling and control strategies. We then work with your controls contractor to implement our solutions and verify that those savings are achieved. These energy conservation measures can save clients hundreds of thousands of dollars annually and provide a simple payback of just a few days. In addition to improving building performance, our services also meet LEED Existing Building Operations & Maintenance (EB O&M) requirements to obtain credit for optimizing energy performance, implementation, and ongoing commissioning.

Ongoing commissioning applies the same strategies as described for retro-commissioning, but continuously monitors system performance in real time. We implement continuous fault detection and diagnostics using either the existing building automation system or a third-party system. Ongoing commissioning allows building operators to respond immediately to degrading performance and ensure persistent energy savings and comfort.
