Donna Jensen, a principal in the Environmental Science & Policy Division, leads the Infrastructure Team and heads our office in Helena, Mont. She has more than 30 years’ experience with the Safe Drinking Water Act and its amendments. Ms. Jensen is an expert in water system compliance with federal and state drinking water regulations and state implementation of drinking water programs. She also has expertise in evaluating the effectiveness of water treatment systems.
Ms. Jensen plays a key role in developing technical guidance documents and training materials related to federal drinking water regulations and state-specific requirements including operator certification programs. Since 1999 she has managed our work on the national survey Cadmus conducts for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to estimate the 20-year infrastructure investment needs of public water systems. Ms. Jensen also manages our support for the EPA Aircraft Drinking Water Rule and related work for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as our support to states and EPA regions conducting sanitary surveys of public water systems.
Donna Jensen holds two degrees from Colorado State University: a bachelor’s in microbiology with a minor in chemistry and a master’s in microbiology with a water quality emphasis. Before joining Cadmus, she was with Montana’s Public Water Supply Program for eight years. Ms. Jensen also has more than 11 years’ experience conducting laboratory analyses for microbial contaminants and indicator organisms in drinking water.
