Jane Colby, a principal in Cadmus’ energy services sector, is a proven and excellent manager of clients, projects, and staff, as well as a highly effective communicator and thought leader. Ms. Colby’s rare combination of technical engineering and social science research expertise allows her to successfully manage evaluations of large energy-efficiency program portfolios for our energy utility clients.
Ms. Colby is an invaluable asset in Cadmus’ ongoing mission to develop the best possible service offerings for our clients. Her more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry encompass program design and evaluation, developing utility demand-side management (DSM) and integrated resource plans (IRPs); testifying in regulatory hearings on DSM, IRP, and rate proceedings; conducting research and analysis on utility programs; and implementing DSM bidding programs.
Before joining Cadmus in 2009, Ms. Colby served as senior vice president and manager for El Paso Merchant Energy. She has also worked for Xcel Energy in various capacities, and with Barakat & Chamberlin, Inc., a utility consulting firm.
Ms. Colby continually furthers the development of industry thought leadership, presenting at major conferences and contributing to Cadmus’ original white papers. She holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering and an M.S. in natural health.
