Christopher Smith Joins Cadmus to Expand Green Building Work

The Cadmus Group, Inc., announced today that green building industry leader Christopher Smith has joined the firm and will spearhead its efforts to establish global leadership in consulting services to clients in the high performance building market. Formerly the chief operating officer (COO) of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Mr. Smith is well known in the sustainable building community, domestically and internationally. He will provide executive leadership to Cadmus’ 50-plus person staff of engineers, architects and expert consultants serving the green building market.

During the five years Mr. Smith was USGBC’s COO his responsibilities encompassed much of the organization’s operation, including at various times LEED certification, credentialing, membership, education, finance, human resources and technology.  In this period, USGBC quintupled in revenue and staff and LEED became a global brand.

Mr. Smith will be based in Cadmus’ Arlington, Va. office.
