Cadmus provides exhaustive specification review services for high performance buildings to help ensure projects seeking Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® (LEED) or ENERGY STAR® certification meet the necessary requirements.
Cadmus has been a member of the U.S. Green Building Council since 1997. Our high performance building experts conduct LEED certification reviews for existing buildings, new construction, commercial interiors, and core and shell construction. These reviews include examining plans and specifications, architects’ and mechanical drawings, and operating plans, as well as energy modeling documentation. Each review takes about 40 hours over three weeks, and Cadmus has conducted reviews for more than 1,200 separate buildings.
Cadmus is an official ENERGY STAR Service and Product Provider, and our experts have conducted ENERGY STAR certification reviews for thousands of buildings. The ENERGY STAR certification reviews we perform include examining each Statement of Energy Performance submitted as part of the application for existing buildings to “achieve the ENERGY STAR” and new buildings to be designated as “designed to earn the ENERGY STAR.”
It is worth noting that use of the ENERGY STAR platform to benchmark a building’s energy performance is part of the LEED certification process for existing buildings.
